Federation Studios merges sales division with Calt Distribution

Federation Studios has expanded its catalogue by merging its sales division with that of its Paris-based subsidiary Calt Distribution.

Calt is the international sales unit of French indie Robin & Co, which Around The World In 80 Days producer Federation took a majority stake in a year ago. It distributes content including the Hope Production documentary Legacy, as well as Robin & Co titles such as Kaamelott and Camera Café.

As a result of merger, Lucile Avezard, formerly international sales manager for Calt, is joining Federation Studios’ sales division, which is co-headed by Monica Levy and Guillaume Pommier.

With the addition of Calt Distribution’s programs, Federation’s line-up will expend to include new titles across genres including short format, fiction, documentaries, shows and concerts.

Last September, Federation’s distribution division announced structural changes designed to support the expansion of its business, inclduing the appointment of Pommier as co-head of distribution, alongside Levy.

“This merging of Federation and Calt’s distribution divisions is a significant milestone in the collaboration between Federation Studios (the parent company) and its subsidiaries, Robin & Co,” said Federation in a release.
