Wildbrain takes Carmen Sandiego global

WildBrain has acquired exclusive linear broadcast distribution rights to Carmen Sandiego.

The deal with HarperCollins Productions will see WildBrain selling seasons one to four of the series. It was originally produced for Netflix by HarperCollins and WildBrain’s animation studio in Vancouver.

WildBrain has already secured deals for all four seasons of Carmen Sandiego with Disney for its linear broadcast channels in Japan and France.

Sphere & Mojumbi partner on ‘Rock Girl’

Sphere Media and Mojumbi Entertainment have expanded their development partnership to work on a new project, Rock Girl, a live-action musical series for children aged eight-to 12-years-old.

The two companies are already partnered on upcoming TVOKids show Riley Rocket, while this new series from composers and producers Matthew Gerrard and Mladen Alexander follows musical misfit Stevie Simone who is given a vintage guitar that gives her the power to travel back in time.

Zigazoo & Moonbug launch ‘Blippi’ NFT

Kids social network Zigazoo is launching an NFT collection based on the kids series Blippi, in partnership with Moonbug Entertainment.

According to Zigazoo, the NFTS “will serve as unique collectibles and include the opportunity to be founding members of the Blippi Fan Pass,” with holders gaining access to new Blippi perks on a monthly basis for at least one year through the Zigazoo platform, including exclusive Blippi videos and behind-the-scenes footage.

Blippi’s NFT packs will be available for purchase exclusively through the Zigazoo app.
