Boat Rocker merges scripted & unscripted divisions, restructures leadership
Canada’s Boat Rocker Media is combining its scripted and unscripted content divisions into one single unit, alongside a management restructure.
The newly merged Boat Rocker Studios, TV, will continue under its current leadership, with Jay Peterson and Steve Lescroart retaining their respective titles of president, Boat Rocker Studios, unscripted and president, Boat Rocker Studios, scripted.
Lescroart will now also take on the newly created role of COO of Boat Rocker Studios, TV, and head up the division’s day-to-day operations.
Boat Rocker Studios’ co-chairmen Ivan Schneeberg and David Fortier, who will continue to oversee the operation, commented: “We’re pleased to be bolstering the management of our operating divisions to help build further connectivity and value for our creative partners across the company.”
Furthermore, Michel Pratte, president of Boat Rocker Media, will see his remit expand to oversee Boat Rocker Ventures, as well as its talent management company Untitled Entertainment and Boat Rocker’s corporate communications.
Eric Taitz has also been promoted to SVP and general manager of Boat Rocker Ventures to help support the growth of Untitled Entertainment.
The Toronto-based firm is behind programming including Apple TV+ documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry and kids series Dino Ranch for Disney.
