Dutch producer, distributor and millennial-focused global channel provider Insight TV has promoted Michael O’Connor to VP of production and content.
Upped from his role as executive producer of originals and development, O’Connor will now take on responsibility for production and commissioning at the Amsterdam-based firm.
The newly promoted exec will also work to streamline the production process and improve coordination with existing and new production partners, in a move that the company says will position it “strongly for the anticipated increase in future productions.
Recent projects from Insight TV include the second season of Simple Path, as well as co-productions including Backyard Ballistics, Winter Gold and season two of Ultimate Goal.
Graeme Stanley, CCO of Insight TV, commented, “As an organisation, we are implementing key initiatives to bolster our mission to be the world’s leading millennial and Gen-Z targeted premium unscripted content provider.
“For 2022, we have already identified some great new productions and cross platform content and we are looking forward to finding and collaborating with other like-minded creators around the world to continue our growth.”
O’Connor’s promotion comes as Arun Maljaars, Insight TV’s VP of content and channels, exits the company to join blockchain and NFT-backed crowdfunding platform MContent as chief content officer, with an eye on helping indie producers get their shows financed using cryptocurrencies.
