A+E strikes pact with streamer aggregator ScreenHits TV in Germany

Surviving R Kelly

Streaming aggregator ScreenHits TV has struck a deal to offer A+E Networks channels via its service in Germany.

The pact will initially cover A+E’s streaming channels History Play and Crime + Investigation Play, with both offerings integrated into ScreenHits services in Germany, as well as Switzerland and Austria.

Shows on offer will include Forged In Fire, Ancient Aliens and American Pickers on History Play, while The First 48, 60 Days In and Surviving R. Kelly will be available via Crime + Investigation Play.

It is the second such partnership for ScreenHits in Germany, where it agreed a deal in July with ProSiebenSat.1 Media and Discovery joint VOD venture, Joyn, to join the service.

ScreenHits said more deals in Germany are in the works, while the SVOD and AVOD aggregator’s service is also being rolled out across other parts of Europe, the Indian sub-continent, Latin and North America.

Rose Hulse, ScreenHits TV founder & CEO, said: “This marks the beginning of a very productive relationship with A+E Networks across the German region. Our collaboration is designed to make it even easier for the millions of devoted fans of these highly popular A+E premium channels to find and locate the volumes of compelling, binge-worthy content that they offer.”
