Programming from the duo will become available on Pluto’s Lat Am offering, with other deals involving Fremantle, Lionsgate and Hearst. The list of 55 providers also includes ViacomCBS brands, such as Nickelodeon, MTV and Paramount.
Titles available on Pluto TV in Latin America at launch include TV shows such as Broadchurch and The Honourable Woman and movies like Snowpiercer and Blue Valentine.
The company said that the LatAm service will “offer a diverse slate of programming tailored to the region with hit television series and award-winning movies, across a variety of genres including reality, anime, lifestyle, competitions, nature, true crime and kids’ content.”
Eduardo Arias, the company’s senior director of content partnerships, said: “We are thrilled to have these amazing quality content partners supporting the launch of Pluto TV in Latin America. Pluto TV Latin America will offer 24 live thematically-organised channels at launch with categories including movies, entertainment, curiosity, lifestyle and kids.
Pluto TV is scheduled to launch in 17 Latin American countries at the end of March. It will be available in countries such as Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Uruguay, while it will arrive in Brazil by the end of the year. ViacomCBS promises that it will be available through local pay-TV and mobile operators after launch.
