DRG picks up global rights to Channel 4’s ‘My Grandparents’ War’
UK-based distributor DRG has picked up international sales rights for the upcoming four-part series My Grandparents’ War.
The show was recently commissioned by UK broadcaster Channel 4 and follows Hollywood actors as they re-trace the footsteps of their grandparents in World War Two.
It is being produced by UK prodco Wild Pictures and was commissioned to mark the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of war. The show features stars including Kristin Scott Thomas (pictured) and Mark Rylance.
Mette Kanne-Behrendsen, DRG’s senior VP of acquisitions, acquired the series and said it “combined key moments in history with a fresh and compelling biographical insight into some of the world’s leading actors.”
