Sensethefuture options Mike McCormack’s ‘Solar Bones’

Teresa Potocka’s Sensethefuture Pictures has optioned award-winning novel Solar Bones from Irish author Mike McCormack. 

The fledgling prodco is to adapt the novel — which won the 2018 International Dublin Literary Award as well as the 2016 Goldsmiths Prize — for television.

The novel centres on a deceased middle-aged engineer who returns from the dead on All Souls Day.

Set in the west of Ireland as the recession is about to strike, this novel finds him recollecting his life and crafting a portrait of his family.

The project marks the first literary option for the London-based Sensethefuture.
