TRX signs BBCWW catalogue for official launch

Team_Picture_Matthew_Frank_REPLACETRX, the online platform for buying and selling TV rights, has signed BBC Worldwide to list its catalogue of 9,500 titles on the platform as it makes its official launch.

Following an 18-month beta phase, the platform is now available to all buyers and sellers around the world, allowing them to engage, negotiate and agree key deal terms online.

TRX has signed BBCWW to pilot the sales tool with buyers over the coming year.

Antenna Group, Bloomberg, Earth Touch, Escapade Media, Lightning International, Orange Smarty and 3DD have also signed on joining early adopters such as Sky Vision, All3Media International and Discovery Communications.

Content from distributers will be available to more than 500 buyers who have registered pre-launch with TRX.

Matthew Frank, CEO at TRX, said: “The support we are receiving from some of the world’s most high-profile distributors is very exciting and a validation of the TRX proposition – making deals quicker and easier for everyone. TRX has secured an investment of around £11 miliion (US$14.5 million) from investors such as Channel 4, Sky and most recently Edge Investments.
