Live PD prodco brings in Half Yard exec
Live PD producer Big Fish Entertainment has hired Half Yard Productions’s Jordana Starr to serve as vice president of development.
Starr will report to the senior vice president of development George McTeague at the US-based prodco.
Prior to joining Big Fish, Starr served as vice president of programming at Half Yard, with creative oversight of pilots, series and specials including Say Yes to the Dress for TLC.
She also worked with such networks as AMC, ABC, HGTV and MTV, among others. Her credits include series My Super Sweet 16 and The Dr. Oz Show.
Dan Cesareo, president and founder of Big Fish, said :“Jordana’s passion, creative expertise and strong network relationships are great assets as we continue to grow our development roster. We’re excited to welcome her to the Big Fish team and to bring such a talented voice into the mix as we expand our scope across the board.”
Big Fish launched a new live entertainment show this month named Date Night Live, which follows couples from New York City, Atlanta, Dallas and San Diego as they embark on dates in real time.
The company produces A&E non-fiction crime series Live PD, and is also behind VH1’s Black Ink Crew.
