Mid East SVOD player bags Sony package deal
A new package of Sony TV series and movies are headed to Etisalat’s Middle East and North African SVOD service.
Sony Pictures Television has scored a deal with content aggregator Etisalat-owned E-Vision to make “a range of premium TV series” and films available via subscription VOD in the MENA region.
A second facet to the deal sees E-Vision renewing an agreement for new and library series for the transactional VOD service eLife On Demand.
Series set for eLife include Art of More (pictured), Kevin Can Wait, Chosen and Outsiders.
“Based in our objective to continue to enhance our content catalogue for Etisalat and partners, E-Vision is thrilled to expand our relationship with Sony Pictures Television,” said Humaid Sahoo, CEO of E-Vision.
“We believe the access to top content from Sony will continue to drive the uptake of our service, and cement our partnership with Sony Pictures Television even further.”
SVOD services in the Middle East include Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Starz Play.
