TVF secures swathe of deals in Australia and New Zealand

London-based factual distributor TVF International has sold a slate of shows to broadcasters in Australia and New Zealand.

Inside Windsor Castle, co-commissioned by Channel 5 and Smithsonian, has been picked up by Foxtel, SBS (both Australia) and Sky Prime (NZ) while Foxtel also snapped up CBC crime doc Looking for Mike (44 minutes) and Channel NewsAsia’s ISIS: Road to Radicalisation (2 x 47 mins).

Elsewhere, Bloomberg TV’s art series Brilliant Ideas (75 x 30) found homes across the region with Foxtel and Sky’s arts channels. Sky Arts also picked up a number of philosophical debates from The Institute of Art and Ideas on topics ranging from gender to economics.

In other deals, Australian pubcaster ABC secured CBC’s Sugar Sisters, which explores the global phenomenon of sugar-dating and BBC’s Confessions of a Sex Addict. New Zealand’s TVNZ picked up Antidote Media’s BBC3 Professor Green trilogy while National Geographic Channel secured a package of history titles, including History’s ground-breaking WWII: Forgotten Ally.

Commenting on the deals, Harriet Armston-Clarke, division head at TVF International said: “We have a long history of providing quality programming to our partners across the ANZ region and it is encouraging to see an ever growing appetite for our heartland genres of arts, history and current affairs.” Deals were brokered by TVFI ANZ sales executive Catriona McNeish.
