eOne exec switches to TCB post
London-based TCB Media Rights has again expanded its team with the fire of Entertainment One exec Holly Cowdery.
She will work on sales in the Benelux, Central and Eastern Europe, and Middle East and North Africa regions.
TCB CEO Paul Heaney called Cowdery a “rising star” adding: “She already has solid experience in sales, but is now looking to take that up a level. With her energy, enthusiasm and ambition, she also typifies TCB’s combative yet friendly attitude to business.
In March, TCB hired BBC Worldwide sales exec Simona Argenti to lead sales in Italy, Spain, Latin America and Canada, while Claire Runham joined from National Geographic Channels International.
Cowdery has been providing maternity cover as a sales exec at eOne Television International, and has previously held sales roles at NBCUniversal International Distribution and Lionsgate Television.
Her appointment comes as TCB sold CJZ-produced Australian lifeguard series Bondi Rescue to NRK in Norway (seasons 1-9), SBS in the Netherlands (seasons 8-12) and CBS reality (season 12).
Meanwhile, SBS in Australia and Sky New Zealand have acquired 1x60mins doc Diana and the Paparazzi, which TVT Productions produced.
One of a spate of new docs focused on the late Princess Diana, the doc explores the former royal’s love-hate relationship with the press.
TCN has also sold 6x60mins factual series Scandal Made Me Famous to Australian pay TV platform Foxtel and CBS Reality.
