All3 strikes double drama deal with TF1
TF1 has pre-bought two All3Media International dramas, Liar and Innocent (pictured).
Both series will play on ITV in the UK and the deal is the latest between All3 and TF1, France’s largest commercial broadcaster, which has previously bought The Missing, which was on BBC One in the UK.
TXTV-produced Innocent is a four-parter about a man convicted of killing his wife, but subsequently freed from prison on a technicality.
Liar hails from All3-backed prodco Two Brothers and will be on SundanceTV in the US. The thriller follows events after a couple go on a fateful date.
TF1 will show both series later this year.
Head of programmes and acquisitions Fabrice Bailly said: “After the success of And Then There Were None at the end of 2016, we are delighted that our collaboration with All3Media International will bring forth two more high quality UK series. We are very confident that these new projects will seduce the French audience.”
Graham Spencer, senior VP, EMEA South at the distributor, said: “Liar and Innocent represent the very best in contemporary British primetime drama, and we’re sure they will prove very popular with international audiences.”
