Warner Bros. ups sales vet after Blair promotion
Warner Bros. International Television Distribution has upped veteran commercial exec Phil Goodhew following Robert Blair’s promotion earlier this month.
Goodhew has been named senior VP, commercial strategy, WBITVD, expanding his role from an EMEA-focused position to one covering all international territories.
This is in line with London-based Blair’s promotion to executive VP, international sales at Warner Bros.’s international sales division. He was previously Goodhew’s boss in the EMEA unit, but was upped along with Jim Brehm, who became EVP, global operations and administration.
Goodhew, previously VP of business development for EMEA, will work with WBITVD sales execs to develop their sales approaches and provide analytical and strategic support.
“Phil is a smart, experienced and strategic executive,” said Jeffrey Schlesinger, president of Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Distribution. “During his time in our division our business has become more complex and Phil has played a key role as we have transformed our deal making in EMEA.
“With all of the sales efforts now coordinated from London, I look forward to him making an even larger contribution by becoming involved in additional regions as well.”
Goodhew has been with Warner Bros. since 2001. Before that, he worked on media and telecoms projects in Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East.
In December, sales veteran Roni Patel was promoted to senior VP, sales for the Nordics. Benelux and Middle East at WBITVD, which sells shows such as Gotham, Supergirl, Lethal Weapon and Training Day, plus Warner studio movies.
