Power brings Cesar Diaz back into fold
UK-based distributor Power Entertainment Media has brought in Latin American sales veteran Cesar Diaz to oversee programme sales across Latin American .
He will represent and sell Power’s classic miniseries and TV movies via his company 7A Media across the region. Diaz worked with Power under previous owners.
His appointment follows the acquisition of Power by Purecom, a media investment holding company, in October last year.
Justin Bodle, who created Power in 1995 and ran it until six years ago, runs Purecom and was behind that deal.
Previous owner Sabido Investments had bought the company after it went into administration in 2010, but put it up for sale in October 2015 after a strategic review, as TBI revealed at the time.
Former senior vice president of distribution at Sony Pictures Television, Danny Goldman, replaced Justin Bodle as chief executive in order to revamp the company in March 2011, but left in August of the same year.
Power coproduces, finances, and acquires factual programming and drama, and distributes it internationally.
