BBCWW streams channels on TVB SVOD platform
BBC Worldwide has launched five channels on myTVSuper, the SVOD service operated by Hong Kong’s free-TV broadcaster TVB.
BBC First, BBC Lifestyle, BBC Earth, CBeebies and BBC World News have all rolled out on the service. They can be live streamed, with a 14-day catch-up window for all shows on the nets.
Premium drama service BBC First is also available on myTVSuper as an on-demand only service. The channel, which has a-list dramas including War and Peace and Sherlock, has already launched on the Now TV pay TV service in Hong Kong.
“We are excited that five of our branded channels and services encapsulating the quality, breadth and depth of BBC’s programming are now available to myTVSuper’s subscribers,” said Kelvin Yau, GM of Greater China, BBC Worldwide.
“Hong Kong is an important market for BBC Worldwide.”
The myTVSuper service can be accessed via a settop, connected devices and a dedicated app.
“The BBC has a reputation for delivering premium TV content and enjoys wide acclaim worldwide,” added Felix To, deputy general manager, TVB.
“We are excited to be able to offer our subscribers this wide array of high quality content from the BBC to our audiences in Hong Kong.”
