Gallonde will Make it Happen with new prodco
French producer Sydney Gallonde has launched Make it Happen Studio, a new France based drama indie.
Gallonde made Harlan Coben adaptation No Second Chance for TF1, which was a hit for the French net and was picked up by Netflix internationally.
His new prodco is backed by Alliance Entreprendre, the private equity division of French bank Natixis. It will, he said, make scripted shows for the French and international markets.
Gallonde is currently producing another Harlan Coben adaptation, Just One Look, for TF1 and Make it Happen will continue to work with the author going forwards.
“Thanks to my financial partners, I am able to start this new adventure with the necessary resources to support my ambitions,” Gallonde said. “I am an avid viewer of TV drama so want to be able to express myself creatively to make content that I know viewers across the globe will want to watch.”
Antoine Bodet, partner at Alliance Entreprendre added: “European channels and platforms require exclusive and premium content – Sydney’s talent and past achievements have convinced us that he is the man to develop and create premium series and projects on an international scale.”
Gallonde has been in production since 2006, working for prodcos including Elephant & Cie, Canal +, 39 Productions, JLA and Andetcetera. His credits include M6 series Victoire Bonnot and France 3 TV movie La Disparue du Pyla.
