Kyle MacLachlan taking Twin Peaks to Cannes
Twin Peaks star Kyle MachLachlan is heading to MIPCOM to promote the new sequel to the cult series.
The new Twins Peaks is for CBS-owned premium cabler Showtime and is distributed by CBS Studios International, which is launching it at the market.
The show picks up 25 years after the end of the original series, which ran for two seasons on ABC from 1990.
MacLachlan played Agent Dale in the David Lynch mystery series and reprises the role in the upcoming show, which bows on Showtime in 2017.
Director and creator Lynch is on board the new show.
Actor MacLachlan has been in US series including Sex and the City and Desperate Housewives.
“We are thrilled to have Kyle MacLachlan join us at MIPCOM to celebrate both his outstanding career and the new Twin Peaks series,” said Armando Nuñez, president and CEO, CBS Studios International.
