Warner Bros. ups Canuck sales exec
Warner Bros. International Television Distribution has promoted James Andrews to a sales director position in Canada.
Andrews will continue to manage all aspects of sales and distribution to French-Canadian broadcasters and digital services, as well as English-language indie and specialty networks. He will also explore new areas of growth and sales opportunities in French and English Canada.
Mickie Steinmann will continue to run the Canadian sales office as VP and general manager, Canada for WBITVD, with Andrews reporting in to him.
Andrews joined WBITVD in 2011 as a sales manager, having previously worked at CTV, NBCUniversal and The Hallmark Channel.
The hire comes soon after WBITVD promoted Tomas Davison to VP, sales in Latin America and the Caribbean.
TBI recently revealed the long-serving Dee Robertson was leaving her role as senior sales manager for WBITVD in the UK and Ireland to join Sony Pictures Television in a VP post.
Warner Bros. is selling new season series such as Lethal Weapon (pictured), which debuted last night.
