A+E Networks appoints first Benelux boss
A+E Networks UK has appointed Affilinet Benelux managing director, Jessica Haagmans, as its first regional director for Benelux.
Haagmans (pictured) will take up the newly created role at the end of September and is tasked with boosting the growth of A+E’s portfolio of channels and strengthening A+E’s affiliate partner and media sales house relationships.
She will also look to new commercial opportunities “with a special focus on digital platforms”.
Reporting to Nicolas Eglau, chief operating officer of A+E Networks UK and general manager, Nordics, Benelux and CEEMEA, Haagmans will be based in the company’s new Benelux office in Amsterdam.
“We are delighted to welcome Jessica Haagmans as our first regional director for the Benelux and her appointment marks a significant step in A+E Networks’ ambitions in the region,” said Eglau.
Haagmans added: “I’m excited about the potential growth opportunities across all platforms, including digital, which will enable the company to meet its ambitions in the Benelux and across Europe.”
Haagmans joins from Affilinet Benelux, where she was responsible for all sales activity in the region, improving the company’s client-facing processes and overseeing the acquisition of local affiliate network Cleafs.
Before joining Affilinet Benelux, Haagmans was chief operating officer of Netherlands-based publishing group Sanoma.
Eglau appointed an African general manager, Yusuf Nabee, in April. He is focused on channel distribution and commercial oportunities in the continent.
