Dick Clark hires ABC veteran for production
US-based Dick Clark Productions has hired veteran ABC producer Tim Bock.
The exec, who has worked across genres for more than 20 years, has been named senior VP, production at the New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest producer.
He’ll work at the firm’s Santa Monica headquarters and will report to COO and CFO Amy Thurlow.
Bock was most recently VP, production for US broadcast network ABC’s alternative series and specials department. He has also worked on productions for NBC, CBS, HBO and Warner Bros. Television, and began his career in 1989 for Dick Clark.
“I am honored to rejoin such an iconic and innovative company,” said Bock. “It’s amazing for me, having started my career as a production assistant here at Dick Clark Productions, to return in a senior leadership role. It is an incredible privilege to be back where it all began.”
“Tim brings with him more than 20 years of television production experience working with major networks and production teams in scripted, reality, variety, music, event, talk, sports and game show formats, and a proven track record of negotiating, budgeting and executing with efficiency which will serve him well as we continue to grow,” said Thurlow.
