News brief: Prime European deal for AMC

The AMC channels group has picked up a large package of film-themed programming for its CEE channels from French distributor Prime.

The 49-strong package includes 91-part series Hollywood’s Best Film Directors, one-off doc The Brothers Warner, and shortform series Director’s Short Cut.

David Freydt, managing director of Prime Entertainment Group said: “We have been signing deals together with AMC Central Europe since 2011, especially for our Cinema related shows that are a success on their channels.

“They keep coming to us and it’s a true satisfaction to be able to offer always new content.”
