Lifetime non-fiction chief to lead MTV2
Eli Lehrer is joining US cable channel MTV2 as executive VP.
The senior VP and head of non-fiction at cable network Lifetime joins the Viacom Media Networks channel along with former Major League Baseball executive Jacqueline Parkes, who become chief marketing officer of MTV2 sister network MTV.
Lehrer will keep the creative pipeline stocked at MTV2, reporting to MTV president Sean Atkins, who replaced Stephen Friedman last year.
The former Bravo Media executive worked at A+E Networks-owned Lifetime between 2013 and 2016.
Elsewhere, Kristin Frank moves from an EVP, connected content post at MTV and MTV1 to a new role as EVP, strategy, revenues and operations; while ex-EVP of Viacom Music & Entertainment Group Erik Flannigan takes on a new role as EVP, music/events strategy and development.
MTV’s ranks changed significantly during and after the multi-million dollar restructuring at Viacom last year.
Last month, MTV hired Michael Klein to become EVP, original content. He was previously leading Condé Nast’s video entertainment arm.
