Series Mania to showcase 16 projects
Sixteen projects, ranging from historical dramas to procedural thrillers, have been selected for presentation at the upcoming Series Mania Festival.
Series Mania parent Forum des Images reported a record 200 entries from 33 territories for the Co-Production Forum pitch, which will take place in Paris, France on April 19-21.
“After our ‘call for projects’ went out, we were truly impressed by the number of entries we received, as well as the high quality of the projects that were submitted,” said Series Mania founder Laurence Herszberg (pictured). “The 16 titles that were chosen reveal a wide range of forms and genres
The selected projects come from ten territories, including the UK, across mainland Europe, Scandinavia, Israel and Canada. They will be pitched to 300 potential co-financiers, comprising producers, distributors, channels and SVOD platforms.
Netflix, Amazon, BBC Worldwide, ZDF, Red Arrow International, Gaumont Television, Zodiak Rights, ITV Studios, Sony Pictures Television and Beta Film are all confirmed to attend.
Others include AMC, ABC, A+E Networks, ProSiebenSat.1, DR, ZDF, SVT, Canal+, RTL, France Televisions, TV4 Sweden, RAI, ARTE, Sky Italia, Mediaset and RTE.
