Comcast Xfinity TV now available through Amazon

US operator Comcast is now letting customers buy Xfinity TV, internet and home phone services via Amazon.com.

Comcast said that move was part of its “multi-year effort to transform the customer experience” and that the deal would let customers easily find and subscribe to suitable service plans.

“Amazon is not only the biggest online retailer and a place where millions of our customers shop every day, but it’s also a brand that’s unrivaled when it comes to customer service,” said Charlie Herrin, executive vice-president of customer experience for Comcast Cable.

“Amazon’s new marketplace provides an immersive online destination to showcase our terrific suite of products, including Xfinity X1.”

Last year, Comcast began to allow subscribers to access the HBO Go and Showtime Anytime TV everywhere apps on Amazon’s Fire TV devices. The apps are available on both the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TVStick devices where subscribers can sign in to their Comcast Xfinity TV account, and immediately start watching the channel’s shows and movies.
