RTVE takes ‘extensive’ ZDFE package

Spanish pubcaster RTVE has purchased an “extensive” package of telemovies from German distributor ZDF Enterprises.

The deal includes classic titles such as A Summer in… and Katie Fforde, new telemovies such as Inspector Ms. Heller, Angel of Justice and Mommu Mafia.

RTVE acquired a package of romantic telemovies, which led to market share ratings of 11.7%.

“RTVE is a long-standing and important partner of ZDF Enterprises in Spain,” said Fred Burcksen, executive VP and COO at ZDFE, which is the sales arm of German pubcaster ZDF.

“This new contract confirms the success of our TV movies with the Spanish TV viewers and strengthens the successful partnership between our two companies.”
