Temple Street boosts scripted with ex-Bell exec
Canadian producer Temple Street Productions has hired a former Bell Media drama director to become its VP, scripted programming.
Trish Williams (pictured) will focus on premium scripted entertainment in her new post, with CTV executive Lesley Grant also joining, as senior development producer, scripted programming.
Williams, who was most recently a co-executive producer on CTV series Saving Hope, will also oversee Space and Syfy drama Killjoys. She was previously director of drama at broadcaster Bell’s Independent Production Unit.
Both executives will report to Temple Street senior VP, scripted programming Kerry Appleyard, who has also promoted Laura Notarianni to senior director, scripted programming.
The hires come soon after Temple Street brought Tricon Film & Television sales chief John Rutherford into the fold to launch an international distribution arm.
It also follows Temple Street buying into children’s animation firm Industrial Brothers.
