Levison is latest VH1 exit
Susan Levison is following Tom Calderone out of the door at music-focused US cable channel VH1.
Chris McCarthy replaced former president Calderone earlier this year, and the management changes continue as executive VP, original programming and production Levison (pictured) exits after two years.
McCarthy last month promoted Amy Doyle to become EVP of VH1 and sister channel Logo, which the former also oversees.
Levison will not be directly replaced, with her deputies Nina Diaz and Jill Holmes, who oversee East and West Coast programming, now reporting directly to McCarthy.
Levison joined VH1 in 2013, replacing Jeff Olde, who had moved to NBCUniversal-owned E! Entertainment. She joined from FishBowl Worldwide Media, having previously been a comedy, drama and unscripted executive at Fox.
VH1’s top-level staff as seen major turnover after restructuring at parent company Viacom saw MTV president Van Toffler exit and Doug Herzog replace him, becoming president of new group Viacom Music and Entertainment Group.
