French net takes The Fall
French channel NRJ12 has acquired Gillian Anderson serial killer drama The Fall from ZDF Enterprises.
The channel has taken free TV rights to the first and second seasons of the show, which will begin airing in France next year.
Germany’s ZDFE, the commercial arm of German pubcaster ZDF, co-distributes the series with Content Television. The Fall comes from Endemol Shine Group-owned Artists Studio and was for UK pubcaster BBC Two.
NRJ12, which was setup a decade ago, expects the series to appeal to its core 25-49 audience.
HBO Europe is among previous buyers of the show.
