News brief: EPG buys another Brazilian 4K drama

South Korea’s EPG Media has acquired another 4K drama from Brazil’s Globo.
EPG has bought Merciless, a scripted series about a serial killer who finds the perfect alibi in an unstable single mother.
The deal comes after EPG acquired another Globo property, film Time and the Wind in June. Before that, the pay TV channel had already acquired Globo 2015 feature film catalogue, and telenovela Precious Pearl.
