New sales chief for Global Screen as Fritz retires
Marlene Fritz is retiring after 43 years in the TV industry.
She will be replaced in her role as head of TV sales and acquisitions at Munich-based sales company Global Screen by Alexandra Heidrich (pictured) on July 1.
Fritz has been with Global Screen for three years, as has Heidrich, who is promoted from sales and acquisitions manager.
“I am very sorry to see Marlene Fritz go,” said Global Screen managing director Thomas Weymar. “She was a loyal companion for many years at Telepool and Global Screen and I will miss her incomparable ability to inspire and invigorate all of those around her.”
Chef executive Rolf Moser added: ““Alexandra Heidrich has brought excellent contacts to some of Germany’s biggest production houses to Global Screen and also has a big international network.
“Under her leadership, we’ll pursue our goal in offering the best of family entertainment as well as thrilling event movies, lavishly produced romances and long running series.”
Heidrich has 15 years’ experience in television, and has worked in acquisition, development and production for companies including prodcos with FremantleMedia’s German division.
Global Screen is a joint venture between German television firms Bavaria Film and Telepool.
