Hulu makes Dr. Dimensionpants appointment

US streaming and catch-up service Hulu has acquired kids series Dr Dimensionpants.

The series, which goes out on Teletoon in Canada, will get its US debut on Hulu.

Dr Dimensionpants follows a young boy that becomes an inter-dimensional superhero when he wears a pair of glowing pants, was a commission from Corus Entertainment’s Teletoon in Canada.

DHX has already shopped the animated series to Turner Broadcasting System and France Télévisions among others. It will launch in the kids section of Hulu in mid-June.

Josh Scherba, senior VP Distribution at DHX Media said: “The unique comic style of this series has won fans across Canada, Europe, Latin America, Australia and the Middle East and we are very pleased to now add the US to this growing list of broadcast territories.”
