Liotta, Paxton, Joffe heading to Cannes
ITV Studios is bringing Ray Liotta (Goodfellas) and Bill Paxton (Titanic) to MIPTV to promote its new US drama Texas Rising.
Director Roland Joffe (The Killing Fields), and writer Leslie Greif (Hatfields & McCoys) will also be in Cannes to meet press and buyers.
The series, which looks at the Texas Revolution and rise of the Texas Rangers, will get a world premiere at MIPTV.
It is produced by A+E Studios, ITV Studios America and Thinkfactory Media for History, with ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
Paxton stars as General Sam Houston, war veteran, former Tennessee governor and commander of the Texas Army.
Ray Liotta (pictured) plays Lorca, a deadly and haunted survivor of the Alamo, bent on revenge.
