Walking Dead spin-off set for Brazil
The newly-commissioned Walking Dead companion series will air in Brazil after AMC Networks secured carriage for its AMC Global channel on satellite pay TV operator Sky.
The show this week received a two-season order from AMC in the US and a global broadcast debut on AMC Global after an cross-company deal AMC Studios secured with AMC Networks International.
Following a deal that sees AMC Global launch on Sky on April 1, it will broadcast as part of the international day-and-date roll out.
The Brazilian AMC Global will also feature shows such as Halt and Catch Fire and The Divide.
The channel has recently rolled out on pay platforms in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East following AMC Networks International’s move to rebrand the MGM Channel.
