Ten commits to The Bold and the Beautiful
Australian free-to-air broadcaster Network Ten has committed to a life of series deal for US soap The Bold and the Beautiful.
The long-running US daytime series has been on Ten for 28 years and it will remain the home of the show for as long as it runs.
Ten strips the show through the week in a 4.30pm slot where it averages a 33.8% share, generally winning its slot.
Series executive producer and head writer, Bradley P. Bell, said: “In television, a long-term commitment like this is rare. We are elated to celebrate this amazing joint achievement.”
Network Ten chief programming officer, Beverley McGarvey, added: “We’re thrilled that Ten will always be the Australian home of The Bold and the Beautiful.”
The producers of The Bold and the Beautiful distribute the show themselves and have sold it into over 100 countries. In the US it is on CBS and has run to over 7,000 episodes.
