Viacom promotes Gorke for US distribution
Viacom has promoted Tom Gorke to a wider content distribution role in its domestic networks division.
Gorke has been named executive VP, sales and business development, content distribution at Viacom Media Networks and BET Networks.
This means he will oversee sales and new business efforts for all linear and digital partnerships across the BET, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Logo, Spike TV, TV Land and VH1 brands, and premium content joint venture channel EPIX.
He will continue to report to executive VP, content distribution Denise Denson.
“As the distribution landscape evolves at warp speed, Tom has demonstrated tremendous foresight and embraced change and disruption as an opportunity to create new value for the company and our partners,” she said.
Gorke was previously senior VP, content distribution and marketing for VMN, having initially joined Viacom in 2005. Before that he was at CBS Internet Group.
