News brief: Passion invests in TiFiNi first-look

UK-based Passion Distribution has scored a first-look deal with Cardiff’s TiFiNi.

Passion will represent shows from the factual-focused three-year-old indie following the agreement. TiFiNi is best known for Channel 4’s documentary Finding Mum and Dad.

A Channel 4 doc currently in production will be among programming from the deal debuting at MIPTV in April.

“This deal offers the company a unique opportunity to build on what has already been achieved and set our sights even higher for the future. Passion are the perfect fit for TiFiNi,” said Passion’s managing director, Nick Rees. “Their catalogue is full of the kind of shows we want to make- bold, intelligent, thought provoking and entertaining.”
