Cameras roll on Mexican Netflix comedy
Netflix has put into production a Spanish-language comedy about a family feud set against the backdrop of a football club.
Club de Cuevos will launch internationally in Netflix territories this year, with shooting already underway in Mexico, where the entire show will be filmed.
Mexican prodco Alazraki Entertainment is producing the 13-part series. The series reunites the producer of feature films We Are the Nobles, and stars Gerardo Mendez.
Gaz Alazraki, Leo Zimbron and Mike Lam produce the show, with the latter also its creator.
The show is Netflix’s latest Spanish-language original, coming after Gaumont International Television’s drug drama Narcos, which also launches this year.
