Canada’s CMJ revs up acquisitions

Montreal-based CMJ Distribution has acquired international rights to motoring themed factual shows from Chet Burks Productions.

The deal means CMJ will bring series including Superbike Family, following the life of Superbike champion Larry Pegram and his family, to the international market.

Other Chet Burks series covered by the deal include Cafe Racer (pictured), about the motorbike building and racing scene.

Dreams to Champions is also included in the deal. The 10x30mins series follows a trio of young minority motorsports drivers.

Separately, CMJ has closed a deal with Rio Vista Universal and taken the international rights to Gear Heads, the motoring series presented by motorsport workshop owners Nick Field and Rick Ford.
