UK-Australian prodco hires factual boss

Fledgling UK-based prodco 7 Wonder has hired Steve Condie as head of factual.

The London-based prodco is a joint venture between Australian free-to-air broadcaster Seven Network and former Maverick TV execs Alexandra Fraser, Liza Abbott and Simon Ellse.

Condie joins from factual producer Oxford Scientific Films where he exec produced docs including The Real White Queen for the BBC and Food Prices – The Shocking Truth for Channel 4.

7 Wonder launched six months ago. It recently recruited former BSkyB exec Chris Wilson as head of popular factual and Mish Mayer as head of development.

7 Wonder’s first commission, Micky’s Flanagan’s Detour de France, is set to launch this Autumn on Sky 1. Sky Vision is handling international sales.
