NCIS: New Orleans, Extant set for ProSiebenSat.1
Germany-based broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 has extended its output deal with CBS Studios International, an agreement that hands it rights to Halle Berry series Extant and the latest incarnation of procedural NCIS.
The multiyear agreement gives ProSiebenSat.1 channels throughout German-speaking Europe shows including CBS ratings hit Extant and NCIS: New Orleans (pictured), which recently debuted to 17.2 million viewers in the US.
Rüdiger Böss, executive vice president, group programming acquisitions, ProSiebenSat.1 Media, said the deal “promises our viewers continued first-class entertainment with the latest hit series”.
ProSiebenSat.1 already plays CBS shows including Under the Dome, NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles, Elementary and Hawaii Five-0.
CBSSI, the global sales wing of US broadcast network CBS, last week secured a sale of another ratings-drawing new series, Scorpion. The show went to the UK’s ITV2.
