UK’s More4 acquires Oz’s ANZAC Girls
UK channel More4 has acquired Australia World War I miniseries ANZAC Girls from All3Media International.
The show follows a group of young Australian and New Zealand female nurses in 1915 as they experience the horrors of Gallipoli’s war fields in Europe.
The Screentime-produced series is currently airing on ABC in Australia.
“This war-time drama, told through the eyes of the young, brave nurses who attended the front lines of war, far from their Australian and New Zealand homes has also just been acquired in the USA by Acorn TV – RLJ Entertainment’s digital channel – so we are proud to have found two new prestigious homes for this accomplished series,” said All3Media International’s managing director Louise Pedersen.
It will air in the UK in 2015.
