Alibi makes Reckless move

UK crime channel Alibi has acquired legal drama Reckless from CBS Studios International.

The 13x60mins show will air exclusively in the UK on the UKTV-owned channel. Set in South Carolina, it follows a ballsy female litigator and a charming local attorney that are pitted against each other despite an obvious mutual attraction and a looming police sex scandal.

Alibi claims to be up 13% year-on-year by running acquired US series such as Castle, Murdoch Mysteries and Rizolli & Isles. “Reckless will sit perfectly next to Alibi’s other big US premiere series,” said Alibi’s general manager Adrian Wills.

“With two charismatic lead characters it has the right amount of ‘will they, won’t they?’ and a healthy dose of procedural crime drama and a brilliant cast, which Alibi fans will know and love.”
