TF1 remaking Israeli comedy Little Mom
French commercial broadcaster TF1 has acquired remake rights to Israeli comedy Little Mom.
Scarlett Production has gone into production on a French version, which will likely broadcast on TF1 next year.
This comes after French broadcaster AB Groupe collaborated with Scarlett on a French-language pilot. ABC Groupe has international distribution rights to the French show.
Pirmetime comedy Little Mom follows the lives of women aged 30 and over after they have had children. In Israel, Channel 10 broadcasted the original series, which Yoav Gross Productions created, and a second season is in th works.
Israeli’s Dori Media Group has international format and finished series rights. It has previously sold the format to TET TV for Ukraine and Russia.
“The latest international sale of Little Mom is testament not only to the show’s increasing popularity, but also to the ease at which the format can be adapted for a wide range of audiences.
“We are confident that Little Mom will be a success throughout the French speaking world, and we look forward to continuing to expand Little Mom’s international presence.”
