ITV’s Sirens Media opens in NY, staffs up
Sirens Media is opening a new office in New York and adding to the development team at its Washington DC base.
Sirens, which is part of ITV Studios-owned producer Leftfield and produces Real Housewives of New Jersey, has recruited Daniel Markell as VP of development at the new NY office.
He joins from Jane Street Entertainment where his credits included Psychic Matchmaker. He has also worked for Cineflix on shows including Python Hunters.
Sirens said it will bring on two more staffers at the new office later this year.
The company has also recruited Nichole Bardin, who will join the Washington arm of the business, as director of development. Bardin, a former agent, joins from Structure Production.
There have also been two internal promotions with Brent Hatherill elevated to senior director of development and Heather Hutt to manager of development.
Markell, Bardin, Hatherill and Hutt all report to Sirens Media’s senior VP of talent and programme development, Jen Mayer Kulp.
“Expanding our creative sales force into the New York market is a huge opportunity for growth within an ever-changing reality landscape,” said Sirens Media co-presidents Rebecca Toth Diefenbach. “This foray offers Sirens a unique opportunity to have a presence in all of the top three unscripted markets in the country.”
