Operation Repo firm options Chilean crime caper

Intrigue, the US content company that brought Operation Repo to the US, has picked up format rights to Pushovers, a crime-comedy series out of Chile.

Intrigue will produce the US version of the hit show, which the indie producer acquired from Latin Media Corporation.

The show follows a group of workers who are forced to work for a crime syndicate after losing their jobs. The original version ran to to 96x45mins on Chilean net Canal 13.

Intrigue is best known for bringing car repossession reality series Operation Repo to the US, where it goes out on Turner’s TruTV. The show started out on US Hispanic net Telemundo.
