AOL On launches on Apple TV
The entire library from AOL’s premium video syndication platform AOL On has been added to Apple TV.
The deal for the library, which comprises around 900,000 videos, is the fifteenth such agreement web content firm AOL has scored with connected device platforms.
Apple TV users will be able to access content from AOL partner websites such as HuffPost Live, TechCrunch and Makers. Programming genres span news, entertainment, sport and food.
They will also be offered AOL’s slate of originals from AOL Studios, which were announced at the AOL NewFront event. Series include the Steve Buschemi New York culture-themed series Park Bench (pictured), Hardwired and Acting Disruptive.
“At AOL On, we’ve spent the past two years focused on programming all available OTT devices and this announcement represents our fifteenth integration over that timeframe,” said Ran Harnevo, president of AOL Video.
“We are now able to provide Apple TV users with access to AOL’s premium video programming through an easy-to-use interface featuring best-in-class design.”
