Fox drops sci-fi series Almost Human

Sci-fi show Almost Human will come to an end after its first run after Fox opted to not take it to a second season.

The show has performed well ratings-wise after a slow start, but the US broadcast net has decided not to proceed with more episodes as first reported by Deadline.

Almost Human is set 35 years in the future in a world where police officers work in pairs with synthetic robot partners.

It is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television. J.J. Abrams exec produces the show.

Warner Bros. International Television Distribution sells it internationally. UKTV in the UK recently bought the series.
