Zodiak Rights collars CB Films first-deal
Zodiak Rights has secured a first-look development deal with UK indie CB Films.
Zodiak Media’s salea arm will launch the deal by taking CB’s new Channel 4 series £60,000 Puppy: Cloning Man’s Best Friend to MIPTV as The $100,000 Puppy. The show follows the world’s only dog cloners who fly to the UK from Korea to offer owners to chance to create a genetic clone of their pooch.
“CB Films are first-class producers with a keen eye for the extraordinary and we are delighted to be in partnership with them,” said Zodiak Rights’ head of factual programming Emily Elisha. “This new films follows a unique competition with a most unusual prize which is certain to get people talking. We are looking to follow the competition process in other markets as well.”
Zodiak Rights already has first-look development deals with the likes of Oblong Films, Wellpark Productions, Nine Lives Media, Blast! Films, Minnow Films and Special Edition Films.
